Frightfest 2015 Interview: Axelle Carolyn

Axelle Carolyn spoke with Wicked Horror’s Joey Keogh about her brainchild, Tales Of Halloween, at Frightfest 2015. The director opened up about the genesis of the project, her love for scary movies and much more!

Tales Of Halloween is the highly-anticipated new horror anthology featuring ten shorts from eleven notable genre directors including Carolyn (Soulmate), who also dreamed up the project. In addition to Carolyn, the other directors contributing segments are Neil Marshall (The Descent), Lucky McKee (The Woods) Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, III & IV),  Adam Gierasch (Night of the Demons), Andrew Kasch (Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy), Mike Mendez (Big Ass Spider!), Dave Parker (The Hills Run Red), Ryan Schifrin (Abominable), John Skipp (Stay at Home Dad), and Paul Solet (Grace). Kasch and Skipp will be collaborating to co-direct one of the vignettes. You can check out our Frightfest review of Tales Of Halloween here.

The directors behind the project have dubbed themselves ‘The October Society’. The film will appropriately enjoy a stateside theatrical release in October of 2015. Look out for more on this title as it is announced!
