Netflix may just be developing a horror series based on the Blade property. This isn’t the first time the concept has been developed for the small screen. A short-lived series aired for a single season on SpikeTV in 2006. However, this seems like a logical next step, with a Punisher series in development at Netflix following the success of Daredevil.
This latest round of news comes courtesy of MovieCreedLive. The outlet cites an anonymous source that suggests that the Blade, Moon Knight, and Ghost Rider properties are all lined up for the series treatment at America’s number one streaming service provider. If this proves to be accurate, this will give fans something to sink their teeth into until another feature film eventually materializes. No word as to whether or not Wesley Snipes is being courted to star.
The Blade series sees a human-vampire hybrid denouncing his vampire side and hunting full-sledged blood suckers. Three features films have been developed based on the property as well as a short-lived TV series.
