Wicked Horror has just received word that Blair Witch has been dated for home video by LionsGate Home Entertainment. The film will be available across all formats beginning January 3rd. In the meantime, had past the break for the full specs and feature announcement!
Blair Witch (review) was shrouded in secrecy until its world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con. It wasn’t until that very moment that it was officially revealed that the movie we thought was called The Woods was actually a Blair Witch Project threequel.
Blair Witch is a direct sequel to the first in that it follows Heather Donahue’s brother who believes she is still alive and goes into the woods with a group of his college friends to look for her. Naturally, the friends quickly realize that they are not alone and something is amiss.
Blair Witch was directed by Adam Wingard and the screenplay was penned by Simon Barrett. It stars Valorie Curry, Callie Hernandez, and James Allen McCune. Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Keith Calder, and Jessica Wu served as producers.
