We previously revealed that both Fiona Dourif and Jennifer Tilly were on board to return for Child’s Play 7 when it happens and today we have gotten word that it may already be gearing up to shoot. An exchange between Curse of Chucky star Fiona Dourif and franchise creator Don Mancini has fans abuzz and we are wondering if production has already began or is about to commence. Dourif Tweeted an image of Mancini in what appears to be a forest and asked if he was making Chucky 7. Mancini replied with: “Come and get it @FionaDourif”. See embedded Tweet below for reference.
In a previous Twitter conversation, Dourif asked Mancini if she should be packing for Canada, Romania, or South Africa. Mancini playfully told her to bring her wheelchair and assured her that he would provide the blood. Universal Home Entertainment has been know to shoot in South Africa, Canada, and Romania. For example, the distributor lensed at least one Death Race sequel in South Africa, Curse of Chucky was shot in Canada, and the Danny Trejo starrer Dead in Tombstone was lensed in Romania.
From what we’ve gathered, the seventh film in the Child’s Play franchise may be gearing up to begin production and Mancini will very likely be writing and directing with Jennfer Tilley reprising her role as Tiffany. Dourif is expected to return as the wheelchair-bound Nica.

The most recent installment in the series, Curse of Chucky, sees the return of the indestructible killer doll that is possessed by the spirit of Charles Lee Ray. Chuck sets his sights on a young, wheelchair-bound woman named Nica. When he arrives at her home, he immediately begins making trouble for the nice young lady. Mysterious deaths start to occur all around her and Nica comes to suspect that the doll that just showed up on her doorstep may be to blame. No word just yet on where the seventh film will take things. But we will hopefully know more soon.
We have put in a request for comment from Don Mancini but as of the publication of this post we haven’t heard back. We will update you right here as soon as we hear anything!
