Yesterday, we revealed that Jennifer Tilly would be back for the seventh installment in the Child’s Play franchise and that Don Mancini was rearing and ready to get the project off the ground. Today brings word that Fiona Dourif (Curse of Chucky, True Blood) will be reprising her role as wheelchair-bound Nica for the film. This was all revealed during a witty exchange between Mancini and Dourif on Twitter. You can check it out for yourself below.
In the conversation, Dourif asks Mancini if she should be packing for Canada, Romania, or South Africa. Mancini playfully told her to bring her wheelchair and assures her that he will provide the blood. Universal Home Entertainment has been know to shoot in South Africa, Canada, and Romania. For example, the distributor lensed at least one Death Race sequel in South Africa, Curse of Chucky was shot in Canada, and the Danny Trejo starrer Dead in Tombstone was lensed in Romania.
From what we gather, the film may be in the early stages of preproduction and Mancini will be writing and directing with Tilley reprising her role as Tiffany and Dourif returning as Nica.

The most recent installment in the series, Curse of Chucky sees the return of the indestructible killer doll that is possessed by the spirit of Charles Lee Ray. In this installment, Chucky sets his sights on a young, wheelchair-bound woman named Nica. Chuck arrives at her home and immediately begins making trouble for the nice young lady. Mysterious deaths start to occur all around her and Nica comes to suspect that the doll that recently arrived on her doorstep may be to blame. No word just yet on where the seventh film will take things.
