We previously announced that Fox had bumped their order for the small screen redux of The Exorcist from a pilot to a full series order. Now, we have a full trailer and a time frame for the show’s network debut to share with you. We also have a teaser for the Rocky Horror redux for you to check out!
The Exorcist will be part of Fox’s fall lineup, presumably premiering sometime in September. It will air Friday nights. Rocky Horror has appropriately been confirmed for a Halloween debut.
The Exorcist series stars Geena Davis, Kurt Egyiawan, Hannah Kasulka, Brianne Howey, Alfonso Herrera, and Ben Daniels.
From what we’ve gathered, Brianne Howey will be playing the character that becomes possessed. The pilot was written by Jeremy Slater (The Lazarus Effect). Rupert Wyatt will be assuming directorial duties on the first episode. The show is being described as “a propulsive, serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession and confronting the face of true evil.”
Laverne Cox will star in Rocky Horror, alongside Christina Milian (Magenta), Tim Curry (Narrator), Victoria Justice (Janet, Eye Candy), Ryan McCartan (Brad, Heathers: the Musical), Adam Lambert (Eddie, Glee), Reeve Carney (Riff Raff, Penny Dreadful), Annaleigh Ashford (Columbia, Masters of Sex) and Staz Nair (Game of Thrones).
