Today brings big news for the recently announced fourth chapter in the Insidious series. Following on the heels of the project’s announcement, we now have an official release date, a director, and more! Head past the break for the full rundown!Insidious: Chapter 4 will be directed by directed by Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan). Leigh Whannell will, once again pen the screenplay. James Wan will be back to produce, as will Oren Peli and Jason Blum. The project will be released 10/20/2017. The announcement was made via a video on the official Blumhouse site. The clip featured Lin Shaye and seemed to strongly indicate that she will be reprising her role as Elise. Whannell previously suggested that this might take place in the time between the third film and the first. But that has not been officially confirmed at this point.
The project is still a very long way off. And there’s no official word on exactly where the flick would pick up or exactly how it will explore The Further this time around.
