We have just gotten word from BD that a new Children of the Corn film may be shooting as we speak. The site has received several tips but they offer conflicting information. One informant believes the film is being directed by Joel Soisson (Children of the Corn: Genesis) and another tipster has told them that John Gulager (Piranha 3DD) is at the helm.
We had heard rumblings about this several weeks ago but nothing substantial or credible enough to go on the record. Our source suggested that the film was shooting in Oklahoma City. That would make sense, given that Dimension was just shooting Hellraiser: Judgment there.
No casting or storyline news at this juncture but know that we will keep you in the loop when we learn more about this new development.
The original Children of the Corn film followed a cult of killer kids that worshiped at the foot of He Who Walks Behind the Rows. Linda Hamilton and Peter Horton starred.
