New Suicide Squad Trailer Teases The Dark Knight!

Jared Leto as the Joker in Suicide Squad

Warner Bros has released the third and latest trailer for the highly anticipated Suicide Squad, and it looks like things are about to get even darker!

The new trailer for the DC film debuted during the MTV Movie Awards on Monday present by MTV Generation Award recipient Will Smith, with fellow Suicide Squad stars Jared Leto, Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne during the event.

Opening with a shot of the White House, the clip continues with a meeting of officials asking of other officials, “What if Superman had decided to fly down, rip off the roof of the White House, and grab the President right out of the Oval Office? Who would have stopped him?”

The answer being, of course, the Suicide Squad. Composed of ten guys and girls that love to be bad.

Harley Quinn is seen wielding a size-able mallet, also featuring scenes during training where she says: “I’m known to be quite vexing. I’m just warning you.” We also get a better look at the awesomely deranged Joker. Quick glimpses of the Batsuit can also be seen. Confirming Ben Affeck’s Batman cameo.

Suicide Squad’s cast includes Jared Leto (The Joker), Cara Delevigne) Enchantress, Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Will Smith (Deadshot), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), and Karen Fukuhara (Katana). Direction coming from David Ayer (Fury, Training Day).

Official synopsis for Suicide Squad:

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Suicide Squad will be in cinemas on 5 August. You can check out the awesome new trailer below!
