A remake of classic horror film Nosferatu has secured a very competent director in the form of Robert Eggers (The Witch). Eggers will both write and direct the reboot. The director won the directing prize at Sundance for his much lauded film The Witch.
According to Deadline: “This will be a visceral adaptation of F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent film masterpiece that brings the horrific vampire of Eastern European folklore back to the screen.”
Jay Van Hoy & Lars Knudsen’s Parts and Labor production company is already on board to produce. The project will be housed at Studio 8. No word just yet on what timeframe the reimagining will take place in but we will keep you in the loop as we learn more about this developing project.
