PARAMOUNT rigged Paranormal Activity creator Oren Peli’s home (which was used in the first film) with a series of gags and scares set to go off during an open house. The reaction is pretty amusing and sees at least one guest running for the door. Check out the gag for yourself in the player below!
As we have previously mentioned, The Ghost Dimension is the planned final chapter in the Paranormal Activity saga. Moreover, it is the first installment in the franchise to be presented in 3D. It will also be the first film in the series to give any concrete answers. Blumhouse studio execs are going out of their way to let fans know that this will be the film that answers all of their long burning questions and should also serve to close the book on the franchise.
While shooting in 3D is somewhat uncharacteristic for a micro budget production house, Jason Blum suggested in an interview with USA Today that he wanted the series to go out with a bang and to go out while it’s still on top. He has declined to reveal how much the film cost to make.
Gregory Plotkin directs the final installment which follows a family that finds a series of videotapes and a video camera in their new home that may connect to the events of the previous films. Chris J. Murray, Brit Shaw, and Ivy George star.
The film will be hitting theaters October 23rd. In the meantime, check out the newly released trailer below.
