Creep kids, ghosts and spiders, oh my! Floria Sigismondi’s upcoming movie The Turning tells us the story of Kate (Mackenzie Davis) who is hired as a live-in by a man who has taken in his nephew and niece after the death of their parents. The children include the playful yet peculiar Flora (Brooklynn Prince) and her unhinged brother Miles (Finn Wolfhard). To say Kate has her hands full would be an understatement.
As the children’s behavior gets erratically more disturbing Kate also notices something bizarre about the family’s lavish property. Something seems amiss everywhere she turns. Plus, there’s spiders. There are a lot of spiders for some reason. Anyway, this first look appears promising!
The film is loosely based on Henry James’ 1898 horror novella, Turn of the Screw. It follows a similar storyline, however The Turning is set in modern day. Check out the brand new trailer below and be sure to watch The Turning in January 2020!
