I LOVE the V/H/S franchise and I cannot wait for the third installment, V/H/S: Viral to come out.
The V/H/S franchise has really upped the ante for found footage films with its creative concepts, anticipative energy and pure visceral insanity, and now, we have V/H/S: Viral, the third anthology feature, one in which I am greatly looking forward to.
Produced by The Collective and Bloody Disgusting, V/H/S: Viral features segments directed and written by indie horror visionaries; Todd Lincoln (The Apparition), Nacho Vigalondo (The ABCs of Death segment “A is for Apocalypse”), Marcel Samiento (Deadgirl,The ABCs of Death segment “D is for Dogfight”), Gregg Bishop (Dance of the Dead), and Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead (Resolution).
V/H/S: Viral follows a group of fame-obsessed teens desperate to capture the next viral video but soon discover they are the stars of the latest internet sensation. The anthology feature includes the story of a deranged illusionist who obtains a magical object of great power; a homemade machine that opens a door to a parallel world. Teenage skaters that unwillingly become targets of a Mexican death cult ritual, and a sinister, shadowy organization that is tracking a serial killer. The segments are named “Dante the Great”, “Bonestorm”, “Vicious Circles”, “Parallel Monsters” and “Gorgeous Vortex”.
Scheduled for release on VOD platforms October 23, 2014, with a limited theatrical run slated for November 21st, 2014, V/H/S: Viral is the third installment in the groundbreaking horror franchise V/H/S from some of the world’s top filmmakers.
