We’ve Conjured a Poster for Amityville: The Awakening

Amityville Horror Home on the market.

Dimension has just reached out to share a first look at Amityville: The Awakening with us. It is one of the first one sheets I can recall directly referencing social media in such a prominent way. In fact, at first glance, I thought the image had been shared by one of the cast members via their Instagram account. Head inside for your first look!

Amityville: The Awakening is slated for a nationwide release next month. You probably already know all about the fiasco in which Dimension Films inexplicably pulled Amityville: The Awakening from its upcoming release schedule. But just in case, here’s the rundown: It was initially planned for a January 2, 2015 release. Then, Jason Blum explained that his production company was still working out the details of postproduction with Dimension. Then, after being bounced around a bit, the film finally secured an April 1, 2016 release date.

“In the film, Belle and her family move into a new house, but when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.”

Amityville: The Awakening is helmed by Franck Khalfoun (Maniac 2012). It stars Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Bella Thorne (Scream: The TV Series) and Cameron Monaghan (Vampire Academy).

Stay tuned to the site in the coming days for more on this title as it is announced by the film’s distributor.
