Freddy Vs. Jason, King Kong Vs. Godzilla, Sharktopus Vs. Whalewolf. Movie history is peppered with gargantuan battles between two almighty, unstoppable foes, fighting to the death as cities crumble around them.
Now, we’ve got another battle to add to the list as none other than Wednesday Addams takes on Jason himself, in an ‘only one can win’ scenario straight out of the fantasies we didn’t know we had.
Wednesday The 13th, a short film written and directed by Chopper Denton seeks to answer the eternal question; what would happen if Wednesday ran into Jason in the woods? Would it be a quick chop of the head, a pull of the pig-tails or a joining of malevolent forces the likes of which the world has never seen before?
Denton actually has previous with Jason, having also helmed a short called Chasing Jason about some poor girl being set up on a blind date with the masked killer. As its title suggests, Wednesday The 13th is a mash-up of sorts of the characters’ two worlds. The flick focuses on a chance encounter between the two, with Thing showing up to join the party, also.
