The Halloween Franchise is NOT Headed for TV!

Halloween - Michael Myers

Fangoria recently reported that the Halloween franchise was potentially heading for the small screen in the form of a limited series. However, today brings news that those rumors were false and we even have an official statement from Malek Akkad to back that up.

Dread Central reached out to Akkad for clarification and he offered the following regarding the franchise being developed as a limited series event for the small screen: “No. Utter rumors and falsehoods.

Prior to rumors of a television series, we reported that the rights to the Halloween franchise were being shopped around to distributors. Before that, Dimension was in development on a new film (potentially in 3D) with Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. However, that project was scrapped and now the fate of the series seems somewhat uncertain.

Make sure to stay tuned to the site in the coming months for more updates on the fate of the Halloween franchise as they are announced.
