John Carpenter’s Lost Themes to be Released as Digital Download

John Carpenter - Horror personalities that deserve their face on American currency

We have just learned that Sacred Bones will be releasing John Carpenter‘s Lost Themes album as a digital download. We have more details and the track listing for the upcoming release inside. Contributing remixes to the album are: Zola Jesus with Dean Hurley, JG Thirlwell, Blanck Mass (Ben Power of F**k Buttons), ohGr (Skinny Puppy), Silent Servant (Jealous God / Downwards) and Bill Kouligas (PAN label head).

We are also pleased to announce that the director will be making an appearance at BAM on Thursday February 5 to talk about the release of his Lost Themes album and more. Brooke Gladstone of NPR’On the Media will be hosting the event. The Lost Themes album will see release February 3rd – two days before the BAM appearance. Tickets for the discussion will be on sale beginning December 18th.

Carpenter has composed the score for nearly every one of his films. He has garnered much attention and earned accolades for his haunting, yet ultra simplistic score to his 1978 film Halloween.
