Netflix Secures Rights to Oculus Director’s Home Invasion Thriller Hush

Hush

We have just learned that Netflix has secured the exclusive releasing rights to Mike Flanagan’s Hush in advance of the film’s SXSW premiere. The streaming service will make the feature available to subscribers in all territories April 8th. Hush will make its world premiere at SXSW this weekend.

In addition to directing, Flanagan also co-penned the script with star Kate Siegel (Oculus). In addition to Siegel, the picture also stars John Gallagher Jr (Jonah Hex), Samantha Sloyan (Area 407), and Michael Trucco (The Bye Bye Man).

I really dig Flanagan’s work and have been a fan of his since his micro budget chiller Absentia. Looking forward to checking this one out, soon!

After losing her hearing as a teenager, author Maddie Young (Siegel) has lived a life of isolation fully retreating into her now silent world. When the masked face of a psychotic killer appears in the window of her secluded home, she must push herself beyond her mental and physical limits in order to survive the night.
