Spike Orders Pilot for Series Adaptation of Stephen King’s The Mist

The Mist - Spike

Deadline is reporting that Spike TV has ordered a pilot based on the Stephen King novella The Mist from Dimension Television. Dimension Television is also responsible for the Scream series at MTV, which recently began production on its second season.

The project will be written and executive produced by Christian Torpe (Rita). No definitive word, just yet, on whether or not Torpe will be directing the pilot for the network. No casting announcements have been made at this juncture. But stay tuned for more on this currently in development project as we learn it!

Similar to the feature film, the series will follow the residents of a small town as they deal with a mist of unknown origin that initially seems harmless but soon proves to be anything but.
