Terror Train is directed by Roger Spottiswoode and stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Hart Bochner, Derek McKinnon, and David Copperfield. Years after a fraternity prank went horribly wrong, a group of college students board a train for a costume party. Alana (Curtis) feels guilty over her part in the prank. She is further annoyed to find out that tonight’s party was orchestrated by instigator Doc (Bochner). Meanwhile, a mysterious magician (Copperfield) performs his own tricks as one by one the students involved in the mean-spirited prank are murdered.

Among the golden age of early 1980s slashers, Terror Train is often known by name but runs the risk of getting lost with newer audiences. That’s a shame as Terror Train takes a stylish turn off the regular track from standard fare at the time. Terror Train is for horror fans that enjoy golden age slashers, Jamie Lee Curtis in her prime as a true scream queen, and a picture with a few tricks up its sleeves.
