We’re less than two months away from the release of mysterious thriller The Belko Experiment, but the latest trailer gives a tantalising glimpse into the world of the movie–for which we still have very few concrete details (though reviews out of TIFF were generally decent).
Director Greg Mc Lean’s (The Darkness, Wolf Creek) latest feature, The Belko Experiment acquired distribution following its Midnight Madness debut at the festival.
The movie, which is written and co-produced by the legendary James Gunn, stars John Gallagher Jr. (10 Cloverfield Lane), John C. McGinley (Scrubs), Sean Gunn (Super), Michael Rooker (Slither, The Walking Dead) and many others is due to be released in theaters on March 17, 2017.
BH Tilt, Blumhouse’s releasing company, will handle the US distribution of the flick.
The premise for what Gunn called “edgy and unique” and Mc Clean described as “an unforgettable ride” is as follows:
The Belko Experiment explores a twisted social experiment, in which a group of 80 Americans are locked in their high-rise corporate office in Bogata, Colombia, and ordered by an unknown voice coming from the company’s intercom system to participate in a deadly game of kill or be killed
