If we’re to believe rumors out of Comic-Con, a teaming between Ash and Mia (via Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead 2) may be closer than you think. In past interviews, Fede Alvarez and Sam Raimi had both offhandedly suggested that the future may hold an introduction between Ash and Mia. According to BD, rumors out of Comic-Con suggest that due to the success of Alvarez’s Evil Dead, a teaming between Mia and Ash could be closer than we might of thought.
But, alas, it looks like we shouldn’t get our hopes up. While the meeting of the franchises is a distant possibility, it looks like it won’t be happening until the Ash vs. Evil Dead series comes to an end. Sam Raimi said the following to STYD: “It’s something Fede and I just talked about once. I probably shouldn’t have said anything. I think we still have a lot of stories to tell; the writers and the writing staff, and Craig DiGregorio, our showrunner, have a lot of stories to tell of Ash before something like that would take place.”
“The cast of Ash vs. Evil Dead is led by Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead) in the role of Ash Williams, Lucy Lawless (Spartacus) as Ruby a mysterious figure who believes Ash is the cause of the Evil outbreaks, Ray Santiago (Touch) as Pablo Simon Bolivar, an idealistic immigrant who becomes Ash’s loyal sidekick, Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) as Kelly Maxwell, a moody wild child trying to outrun her past and Jill Marie Jones (Sleepy Hollow) as Amanda Fisher, a disgraced Michigan State Trooper set to find our anti-hero Ash and prove his responsibility in the grisly murder of her partner.”
