Neve Campbell on Why She Turned Down MTV’s Scream

Scream TV Series - Neve Campbell

In a recent chat with Hollywood Life, Neve Campbell admitted that she actually turned down an opportunity to appear in MTV’s Scream on the basis that it didn’t make sense to her. It’s not entirely clear if she was offered the opportunity to return as Sidney Prescott or another character. But Campbell also revealed that she hasn’t even seen the small screen adaptation. You can see her full account in the player below.

With Campbell’s starring role on the Netflix Original House of Cards, she has been doing the press rounds and also recently revealed that she hasn’t entirely ruled out the possibility of reprising her role as Sidney for a fifth film if all of the stars aligned.

Season Two of Scream: The Series is set to make its premiere May 20th on MTV. The show will feature several surviving members from the first season, including: Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Carlson Young, Tom Maden,  John Karna, Tracy Middendorf, and Amadeus Serafini.

The second season will begin with survivor Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) trying to put the pieces of her life back together after the traumatic events of the first season.
