A second trailer for Annabelle: Creation has arrived and it’s full of sinister trickery. But don’t take my word for it. Check it out for yourself in the player, below!
Director David F. Sandberg has spoken very highly of his follow up effort, telling BD, “The script is really good and I think that this is a sequel that will actually be better than the original. The Godfather II of creepy doll movies as I like to call it.”
Gary Dauberman, who penned the screenplay for Annabelle also wrote the script for the second installment. The original was made for a budget of $6.5 million but went on to take in a grand total of $246 million.
Annabelle: Creation stars Stephanie Sigman (Spectre), Talitha Bateman (The 5th Wave), Lulu Wilson (Ouija 2), Philippa Coulthard (After the Dark), Grace Fulton (Badland), Lou Lou Safran (The Choice), and Samara Lee (The Last Witch Hunter), and Anthony LaPaglia (TV’s Without a Trace).
“Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.”
Annabelle: Creation is scheduled for wide release beginning August 11, 2017.
