With the September 16th date release drawing near, we are beginning to see more and more promotional material for Blair Witch released. Today brings a new trailer. And it is terribly intense. Blair Witch (shot under the working title The Woods) was shrouded in secrecy until its world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con. It wasn’t until that very moment that it was officially revealed that The Woods was actually a Blair Witch Project threequel.
The film will follow the first in that Heather Donahue’s brother believes she is still alive and goes into the woods with a group of his college friends to look for her. Naturally, they realize that they are not alone.
The film is directed by Adam Wingard and the screenplay was penned by Simon Barrett. It stars Valorie Curry, Callie Hernandez, and James Allen McCune. Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Keith Calder, and Jessica Wu served as producers.
