After many experienced the amazing playable teaser, gamers were bursting at the seams when Outlast 2 was revealed to be hitting the market this fall.
Sadly, Red Barrels has announced that their newest game is not going to be available until early next year.
Red Barrels apparently made the decision based on the fact that the game itself was not done, and they did not want to make the mistake of rushing out an unfinished product.
Through their Facebook page the gaming company explained; “Our mission as an indie studio is to deliver to you the best, most terrifying, most fulfilling experiences possible. That’s why we’re taking just a little bit more time to make sure our vision for Outlast 2 is in no way compromised and is the experience you deserve.”
Although this is a minor setback, I do have confidence that Red Barrels made the right decision, but we won’t really know until next year.
