Last year’s Turbo Kid was one of the coolest, sweetiest, funniest, goriest and just plain craziest horror releases of 2016.
The unique, post-apocalypse-set flick, from film-making trio Yoann-Karl Whissell, Anouk Whissell, and François Simard, was an instant hit with genre fanatics, killing it on the festival circuit and storming onto home video.
A sequel seemed like a no-brainer. And now, we have confirmation that Turbo Kid 2 is indeed in the works.
In a recent interview with Journal de Montreal, the creative team behind Turbo Kid officially confirmed that a sequel is, in fact, in production.
As Yoann-Karl Whissell noted, the story set to take place immediately after the events of the first film: “It will be a direct sequel to the first film, taking action where it ended”.
There are no other details to report as of yet, but we’ll keep you updated on the story as it progresses.
