The popular FX series has added a new cast member to the fourth season of American Horror Story. Series creator Ryan Murphy took to Twitter today to break the news. The latest addition is Jyoti Amge, the world’s shortest woman. She is approximately two-feet tall and twenty-years old. Prior to signing on with American Horror Story Amge had appeared on an Indian reality series and been the focus of a documentary film. She joins returning cast member Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, and Frances Conroy as well as several new faces already attached to the series’ fourth season.

American Horror Story: Freakshow will take place in 1950 in Jupiter, Florida, which was the home of a ‘freak show’ at that time. It sounds like the series may be loosely based on some actual events that occurred at the Jupiter ‘freak show’ – which was among the last freak shows in existence in the US. Season 4 will premier this October.

I am anxiously anticipating the arrival of the newest season of AHS. Ryan Murphy has done a fine job with the previous three seasons and I am very curious to see where exactly he goes with season four.
