Rob Zombie has shared the first photo of Malcolm McDowell in costume as Father Murder in his upcoming killer clown film 31. Naturally, we have it available for you to check out after the jump, so head on in and scope it for yourself! The project has already been picked up for for US distribution by Alchemy but when it will actually see a stateside release is still unknown at this juncture.
The image really shows McDowell like we’ve never seen him before. It furthers the conception that 31 is going to be weirder (and hopefully more awesome) than you were expecting. Check it out for yourself below!
In addition to McDowell, 31 stars Judy Geeson (The Lords of Salem), Meg Foster (They Live), Richard Brake (Doom), Daniel Roebuck (Phantasm: Ravager), Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (Otis), Michael “Redbone” Alcott (The Devil’s Rejects), Jeffrey Daniel Phillips (Lords of Salem), Sheri Moon Zombie (House of 1,000 Corpses), and many more.
31 is set in 1975. The project zeroes in on five people kidnapped in the days leading up to Halloween. They are brought to a place called Murder World where they must fight for their survival by playing a deadly game called 31. To win, the ‘contestants’ must kill their opponents over a 12-hour period. Their adversaries are comprised of a group of sadistic killer clowns.
The title of Zombie’s latest feature obviously refers to Halloween–the 31st day in October. Zombie has touted it as a killer clown picture and has promised that it will be nasty and brutal.
