Guillermo Del Toro’s hugely anticipated adaptation of horror classic series Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is just a few months away. And now we have a gnarly poster and a whole bunch of teaser trailers to tide us over ’til then.
The four short vids, all of which you can check out below, dropped during this weekend’s Super Bowl. Each showcases the inventive, childlike creepiness so beloved of the horror auteur.
Del Toro’s adaptation of the celebrated children’s book series, by author Alvin Schwartz, is due in theaters this summer. The film is written by del Toro and directed by André Øvredal (who helmed the brilliant Autopsy of Jane Doe).
Set in 1968, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark follows a group of teens attempting to solve several unexplained and gruesome deaths in their otherwise quiet town. Zoe Margaret Colletti, Michael Garza, Austin Zajur, Gabriel Rush, Dean Norris, Austin Abrams, Gil Bellows, Lorraine Toussaint, and Natalie Ganzhorn all feature.
