Let’s start with the good news, shall we? A Leprechaun sequel is on the way and it appears to be linked to the original franchise, likely picking up where the first film left off, similar to the recent box office success, Halloween (2018). The picture is titled Leprechaun Returns and it will be available on December 11th from LionsGate Home Entertainment. We have your first look at the kick-ass poster art for you to check out, below!
The bad news is that Warwick Davis will not be returning for the latest outing. Taking the reins as The Leprechaun, will be Linden Porco (Cult of Chucky, Channel Zero). Also starring are Taylor Spreitler (Amityville: The Awakening), and Mark Holton (Leprechaun). Note that this marks Holton’s first return to the franchise since his appearance in the 1993 original.

Steven Kostanski (The Void) directs the upcoming film from a script penned by Ash vs. Evil Dead scribe, Suzanne Keilly.
Leprechaun Returns follows the sisters of Alpha Upsilon, who make the fateful decision to source their water from an old well. In doing so, they awaken a homicidal leprechaun searching for his pot of gold.
It’s worth mentioning that the titular character falls down a well at the end of the first film, thus why we’re speculating that this will be a retcon that ignores everything to come after the original.
