If you missed Life After Beth during its very brief, limited theatrical run, you won’t have to wait long for its home video release. LionsGate Home Entertainment has announced that the Jeff Baena zombie comedy will hit Blu-ray (with HD digital copy) and DVD (with Digital Copy) October 21st – just in time for our favorite holiday. It is available for pre-order through Amazon and other online retailers.

Special features for the home video release include:

  • Audio Commentary with Writer/Director Jeff Baena, Actors Aubrey Plaza, Dane DeHaan and Matthew Gray Gubler
  • “Life After Beth: The Post Mortem” featurette
  • Deleted Scenes

Life After Beth stars Aubrey Plaza (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) as Beth, Dane DeHaan (True Blood) as Beth’s boyfriend Zach, and Anna Kendrick (ParaNorman) as Erica. The film also features noteworthy supporting performances from comedic actors Molly Shannon and John C. Reilly.

In Life After Beth, Zach is startled to learn that his late girlfriend Beth is back from the dead. After the initial shock wears off, he discovers that the state in which Beth has returned to the world of the living is not the same in which she left it. Namely, she has a constant hankering for human flesh.
