After appearing on shows like Californication, Once Upon a Time, Sons of Anarchy, and Eastbound and Down, goth rocker Marilyn Manson is headed back to the small screen for a guest starring role on season three of WGN’s horror-centric series Salem. Manson collaborated with series composer Tyler Bates on the show’s theme song but this will be his first time appearing on camera.
Manson will play Thomas Dinley, the town’s barber and surgeon, to whom residents of the titular town go for anything “from a shave and a haircut to being leeched, bled, sliced open or sewn up,” says the show’s official character description.
The fictional series takes place in Salem, Massachusetts during the height of the town’s infamous witch trials. Season three just began production last week. WGN has announced that it will premiere later this year.
