Predator is obviously the big news of this reveal and he will fill the other guest spot alongside Jason Voorhees. The two “classic” returning characters Tanya and Tremor are much stranger choices. Tanya debuted in MK4 and has since only appeared in MK Deception and Armageddon (which featured every character). Given that at least part of MKX’s storyline will be a retelling of MK4’s events, this does make some sense. Personally, I was hoping for Fujin instead. Tremor is probably the weirdest one of the bunch, being a boss character in the much maligned MK Special Forces (a spinoff title) and then never appearing again until now. This will be his main series debut, so I don’t know if I’d really consider him a “classic.” Still, I have to say I’m glad they didn’t just play it safe and pick some fan favorites.
