With less than a week before the official release, As Above, So Below has unleashed an NSFW red band trailer. We are pleased to report that it’s plenty bloody and has a surprising amount of bad language for a studio film trailer. You can check it out for yourself after the jump. The film will hit theaters this Friday (August 29th).
The upcoming ‘found footage’ horror film As Above, So Below stars Ben Feldman (Friday the 13th 2009), Edwin Hodge (The Purge), and Perdita Weeks (Prowl). It is directed by John Erick Dowdle (The Poughkeepsie Tapes) with the script co-penned by the fraternal filmmaking team Drew Dowdle and John Eric Dowdle.
If you are unfamiliar with the setup, here is a synopsis: As Above, So Below follows the exploits of a group of archeologists set on uncovering an ancient treasure in the catacombs beneath Paris. The explorers find more than they were looking for when they begin their journey. Demons from their past resurface during the excavation and cause the members of the group to question their own sanity.
