Veteran actor Bill Paxton (who is likely best known to fans of genre film for his turn as Pvt. Hudson in Aliens or his starring role in Frailty) has passed away at 61. He is survived by his two children and wife Louise Newbury. An announcement regarding his passing was made, on Sunday, by a representative for the Paxton family.
In addition to starring in Frailty, Paxton also directed the picture. Paxton also made noteworthy appearances in Weird Science and The Terminator as well as starring in the HBO original television series Big Love.
