Deep Focus Records and Glass Eye Pix are coming together to release the original soundtrack recording for the horror comedy I Sell the Dead. Star Angus Scrimm will be contributing liner notes which will be exclusively available on the vinyl release of the original soundtrack recording. Scrimm was a Grammy Award winning author of album liner notes long before he became an actor. He provided liner note to albums by The Beatles, Nat King Cole and many others under the pen name Rory Guy.
In addition to Scrimm, the film stars Ron Perlman, Dominic Monaghan, and Larry Fessenden. It is written and directed by Glenn McQuaid. The original score, by Jeff Grace, was nominated for a Fangoria Chainsaw Award in 2011.
The film follows the exploits of a grave robber who is about to be executed for his crimes. In a list ditch effort, he seeks the services of a priest for confession, in the hope that Father Duffy will take mercy on him and put a stop to his impending execution. The man recounts his storied life of crime to the man of the cloth and spares no gory detail.
The Deep Focus website is streaming tracks from the release on their website in support of the release for a limited time.
