Spanish Thriller The Platform Arrives on Netflix March 20th!

Class struggle, starvation, death, and occasional fits of cannibalism all in a prison setting? I don’t know about you but I could not be more excited for The Platform.

After making a big splash at last year’s TIFF, the Spanish thriller was picked up by the streaming giant for a March 20th premiere and we’ve got a spine-chilling trailer to share with you to boot.

The trailer introduces us to a futuristic prison where prisoners are housed in vertical cells. It’s a total free for all for the inmates on the lower levels. That is until one well-meaning prisoner, disgusted with this unjust treatment, decides to change the system for the better. But having a good heart isn’t enough around these parts as some prisoners aren’t ready for change. The Platform stars Iván Massagué, Antonia San Juan and Zorion Eguileor. Check out the bizarre trailer below!

Official Synopsis: “In a prison where inmates on high floors eat better than those below, who get the scant scraps, one man tries to effect change so everyone gets enough.”

Currently in limbo but manages to occasionally crawl out of it long enough to write for Geek Girl Authority and Wicked Horror.
Have your say!
