Its been 15 years since the Ju-on virus plagued our minds and haunted people in their sleep.
Ochiai Masayuki returns and is writing and directing Ju-on: Owari no Hajimari, or The Grudge: Beginning of the End, according to Eigapedia.
“An elementary school teacher named Yui visits the home of a boy named Toshio Saeki who’s been absent from school for a long period of time. When she arrives, she re-lives the horrific tragedy which occurred in the Saeki household 10 years earlier. A cardboard box left in a closet holds the key to revealing a long-hidden truth.”
Filming has begun, with a release date slated for June 28 in Japan. No word on releases in territories after that.
FYI – this is the seventh installment for the Ju-On franchise.
