XLrator Media has announced a street date for their horror film acquisition Found. It will see release on DVD September 23, 2014. The film is being released unrated which isn’t a big surprise, seeing as the trailer promises multiple decapitations and full-frontal nude massacres before the film even gets disturbing.

The cast and creative team are both made up of a lot of newcomers: Actors Gavin Brown, Alex Kogin, and Ethan Philbeck all make their feature film debut in Found. The picture is directed by Scott Schirmer and marks his feature film directorial debut. It is co-written by Schirmer and Todd Rigney. The duo adapted the screenplay from a novel penned by Rigney.

Found focuses on Marty, a seemingly very normal fifth grader. He excels in school and stays out of trouble. But beneath the surface, there are a series of problems that are causing him to slowly unravel. His parents don’t get him, his classmates relentlessly bully him, and every day, Marty is tormented by the knowledge that his older brother is a serial killer who keeps a severed head in a bag. The film begins as a drama about the day-to-day struggles of growing up and ultimately becomes a horrifying and unpredictable bloodbath.
