New on Netflix: October 23rd, 2015

New on Netflix

New on Netflix is a weekly feature here at Wicked Horror where we take a look at the latest additions to everyone’s favorite streaming service. It can be tough sifting through all those horror titles, not really knowing what’s worth watching and what isn’t. Sometimes, you know exactly what you’re looking for, but when you go to watch it the title has already been taken down. Here, we do our best to let you know what’s been added and re-added from week to week.

While the beginning of the month hit us with a lot of strong material, with some current favorites and old classics alike, things are tapering off as we near the end. Hopefully, this picks up throughout the month as we build closer and closer to Halloween.

So kick back, relax, make some popcorn or maybe even munch on some candy corn as we bring you what’s new on Netflix for the week of October 23rd.

Hemlock Grove: Season Three

The final season of the Netflix Original, Eli Roth produced series Hemlock Grove is available to stream as of today. While it had an initially strong reaction and even earned Emmy nominations, viewers seemed to taper off somewhat in season two, but more and more people have found their way to the show over time and fans will surely be interested to see how the entire story is wrapped up in these last episodes. While produced by Roth, the series is the brainchild of Brian McGreevy, who wrote the novel on which the show is based. He developed the series with Lee Shipman and they have overseen all three seasons.

Manson Family Vacation

While it’s drawn a pretty mixed reaction from viewers for its apparently tongue-in-cheek take on the subject matter, Manson Family Vacation centers around two brothers and—as the tagline describes—“one is a devoted family man. One is devoted to The Family.” While its earned some criticism from fans for its subject matter, the movie was kickstarted and even surpassed its goal by $600. The movie may turn out to be a surprise cult hit, but these things are always hard to predict.
