Annabelle 2 Pushed Back By Warner Brothers

Wicked Horror has just learned that Warner Brothers has bumped Annabelle 2 out of its May 19, 2017 release slot. According to a recent announcement, it is poised for release August 18, 2017.

Director . David F. Sandberg has spoken very highly of his follow up effort, telling BD, “The script is really good and I think that this is a sequel that will actually be better than the original. The Godfather II of creepy doll movies as I like to call it.”

Gary Dauberman, who penned the screenplay for Annabelle also wrote the script for the second installment. The original was made for a budget of $6.5 million but went on to take in a grand total of $246 million.

“Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
