Back in February, we brought you the exciting news that an upcoming horror movie, entitled Death House, looked to bring together the Expendables of genre casts.
Directed by B. Harrison Smith, the premise for the flick was originally conceived by the late Gunnar Hansen, AKA Leatherface himself, and has been adapted into a script by the director.
The Death House of the title refers to a subterranean government facility, located in Area 51, that holds humanity’s worst on nine levels. Hell, Dante’s ninth level, holds the Five Evils, or “dark stars” of Death House. These individuals are so heinous they can never walk among society again. They may also be supernatural.
Naturally, the film sees them break out and cause havoc, with the IMDb description promising “the most horrific prison break in the history of mankind.”
The likes of Robert Englund, Doug Bradley, Kane Hodder, Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Danny Trejo and Barbara Crampton are already slated to appear.
Now, arguably the most impressive cast-list of horror vets ever assembled has added even more icons to its roster including Tony Todd, Felissa Rose, Tiffany Shepis, and Adrienne Barbeau.
Also boarding the project, which is due to begin shooting this month with a view to a 2017 release, are Vincent Ward, Debbie Rochon and Vernon Wells.
