Wicked Horror has just gotten word that a sequel to Fede Alvarez’s Don’t Breathe is in the works. In a brief chat with ComingSoon, the director revealed that his next project will be a sequel to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and that he is also conceiving a Don’t Breathe follow up that will see the return of Stephen Lang‘s Blind Man. Neither of these projects have been official announced by a studio but I am quite curious to see where the director takes each property going forward.
Don’t Breathe tells the story of a group of friends who attempt to burgle the home of a blind man. However, they get much more than they bargained for when the homeowner begins to display an almost superhuman ability to defend himself and his home by relying on his remaining senses.
Alvarez cowrote the screenplay for Don’t Breathe with his writing partner Rodo Sayagues. The film features an impressive lineup of genre vets, including Jane Levy (Evil Dead), Daniel Zovatto (It Follows), Stephen Lang (Exeter), and Dylan Minnette (Goosebumps).
Don’t Breathe is available on DigitalHD now and will be hitting DVD and Blu November 29th. Stay tuned for more on this project as we learn it!
