If the latest round of reports are to be believed, it looks as though Jeepers Creepers 3 will serve as a prequel to the second film.
A fan reached out to actress Mariah Delfino (Jeepers Creepers II) on Twitter to express disappointment that she would not be appearing in the threequel and she responded by suggesting that the film is a prequel to the second installment and thus her involvement would not make sense to the timeline. See her Tweet, below.
Star Stan Shaw also replied to a fan on Twitter saying that this film is completely separate from the script for Jeepers Creepers: Cathedral.
Furthermore, a BD reader who reportedly spoke with Dalton Smith (The Creeper’s stunt double) says that the plot synopsis that found its way online was old and from the Cathedral script. Gina Phillips will still be back but her role is expected to be more of a cameo than the starring role she was previously expected to feature in.
What we know about the third installment in the series so far is that Victor Salva will be returning to write and direct. Actor Jonathan Breck will return as The Creeper. Meg Foster (They Live), Chester Rushing (Stranger Things), Ryan Moore (Pitchfork), Patrick Thomas Cragin (How to Be a Vampire), and Brandon Smith (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series) are all reportedly on board to star.
The sequel (which is now in postproduction) lensed in Louisiana. We also know that the Creeper’s truck with the BEATNGU license plate will be heavily featured in the latest installment.
it was previously reported that Adrienne Barbeau was cast in a role in the upcoming Jeepers Creepers 3. But shortly after that news broke, the actress took to social media to deny her involvement. It was then reported that Meg Foster would be replacing the Swamp Thing actress. Reports then surfaced alleging that Barbeau left the production as a result of director Victor Salva’s past conviction for child molestation. Barbeau has not confirmed those claims.
