Scream Factory is quickly becoming one of my favorite distributors of genre flicks. They pay close attention to what is currently out of print and  they keep an eye out for titles that have never been available on DVD or Blu-ray. Once they acquire distribution rights to a film, they go through the painstaking process of restoring it to its original glory. After the restoration process is complete, Scream Factory then begin cramming the disc full of as many extras as the format will allow. Recently, the distributor has set its sights on Clive Barker’s Lord of Illusions. The disc is currently out of print and commanding excessive prices via online resellers. But if you can hang tight, you will be able to get your hands on the Blu-ray very soon. You can pre-order your copy here.

Scream Factory has Lord of Illusions slated for release December 16, 2014 release. It will make a great Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa gift for yourself or your favorite horror fan. As usual, their will be a reversible cover, allowing you to display the newly commissioned cover art or the original artwork from the film’s theatrical release. Details regarding extra have not yet been announced but when more info becomes available, we will share with you.

Official Synopsis:

From best-selling author and celebrated director Clive Barker comes a supernatural thriller that rips apart the boundaries between sanity and madness, and between the art of illusion and the terrifying forces of magic.

Scott Bakula portrays Harry D’Amour, a private detective visiting Los Angeles on a routine investigation. Harry gets more than he bargains for when he encounters Philip Swan, a performer whose amazing illusions captivate the world. But are they really illusions? Harry isn’t so sure as he is thrust into a nightmare of murder, deception and terrifying assaults from the dark beyond. Famke Janssen and Daniel von Bargen also star.
