Werewolf Rising is poised to hit DVD September 8th. The film is written and directed by BC Furtney (Do Not Disturb). It stars Bill Oberst Jr (Resolution), Danielle Lozeau (Legion), and Melissa Carnell (Boggy Creek).
The film revolves around Emma, a young woman that left her small town for the big city but has ultimately had to move back home due to complications with her life. Just when she thinks she is going to get the solace she needs, Emma is targeted by a nasty werewolf that would like nothing more than to have her for lunch.
Werewolf Rising is slated for a DVD release on September 8, 2014 via Image Entertainment. I really like Bill Oberst Jr, so I’m trying to keep an open mind about this one. However, nothing about the trailer for this picture grabbed me and I really disliked Furtney’s last film Do Not Disturb. Also, Werewolf Rising looks a little generic and the acting from the female lead appears to be fairly poor. But, I’ve been surprised before, so I’m reserving judgment until I actually see the film in its entirety.
