Take a journey back in time with Danny Wolf, director of the documentary series, Time Warp: The Greatest Cult Films of All-Time. It is a three volume deep dive into some of the greatest movies of all time that raises the question: What actually makes a cult movie? Hosted by Joe Dante, John Waters, Ileana Douglas and Kevin Pollak, watch exclusive commentary, stories and anecdotes from the filmmakers and stars of these iconic movies that (while they didn’t do great upon initial release) somehow stood the test of time and became a staple in cinema as we know it. It’s an absolute must see for movie buffs.

Time Warp‘s first installment, Midnight Madness focuses on what exactly it means for a movie to be a cult classic, often centering around their convention breaking, surreal and darkly funny elements. Plus the birth of the glorious midnight movie. It then moves on to big names like The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Big Lebowski and everything in between. Volume 2 Horror and Sci-fi studies, in vivid detail, some groundbreaking spine tinglers like Night of the Living Dead and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Volume 3 wraps things up with some of the best cult comedies and campy classics to date.
While this might sound like the ultimate triple feature, binging is not advised. The Time Warp trio, like the movies they dissect, is a movie-watching experience to be savored, not devoured and may even require multiple viewings. Which is why the spacing in between releases is perfect in my opinion. It’s perfectly hyper real, hypnotic and thoroughly enjoyable content that’s only highlighted with a star studded cast who offer compelling insights into your favorite movies.
Time Warp: Midnight Madness is now available on Digital and On Demand. Volume 2: Horror and SciFi will be available on May 19th and Volume 3: Comedy and Camp on June 23rd.
