May 2022 Missing Person of the Month: Haydn Gomez

There are few details are available in the case of Haydn Gomez. But all investigating agencies have come to the same conclusion: Haydn was abducted.

Lin Lan circa 2010.

Haydn was only 2 years old when he was last seen on January 28th, 2010, in Fairfax, Virginia. It is believed he was abducted by his non-custodial mother, Lin Lan. The events surrounding that day have not been made readily available online. However, authorities have reason to believe Lin Lan fled with Haydn to her home country of China, and a felony warrant for kidnapping was issued in her name on February 17th, 2010.

At the time of Haydn’s disappearance Lin was 37-years-old. She would be 50-years-old this year. She’s described as Asian, 5’4″ and weighing approximately 135-pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes, and birthmarks on the outside of her right thigh. Her date of birth is May 1st, 1972, but authorities suspect she may be using the alias date of birth May 7, 1972. She may also be using the alias first names Maggie or Pepper.

Haydn in September 2019.

Haydn was just a toddler when he was abducted and would be 14-years-old today. He is biracial, of Asian and Hispanic descent, and has a distinctive birthmark on his right shoulder. He has black hair and brown eyes. Haydn may be using the alias Junyu Lan. In 2019 a photo, possibly a selfie, of Haydn surfaced. It is unclear how the picture was found. But since it is posted on his official missing flyer, it is assumed there was a confirmation by his family that it is, in fact, Haydn.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Haydn Gomez or his mother Lin Lan, you are urged to contact the Fairfax County Police Department (703-691-2131). The agency case number is 20100350090.
