Dead Snow 2 Picks up a US Release Date, Gets an Official One-Sheet

Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival last January and has already enjoyed a theatrical release in Norway. However, it wasn’t until today that we learned the film has finally secured a US release date. It will hit theaters October 10th of this year and is expected to have a VOD release simultaneously or shortly thereafter. Check out the official one-sheet to the left.

Dead Snow 2 is a continuation of the story of Martin from the first Dead Snow film. He comes to in a hospital after being involved in a car accident. After he awakens, he learns that the police suspect him of the murders that were in fact committed by Colonel Herzog and his N*zi zombies. Martin also discovers that he’s been given a limb transplant to replace his missing arm. However, he is startled to learn that the appendage came from Colonel Herzog.

Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters) co-wrote and directed this follow up to his 2009 original film Dead Snow. It sees Vegar Hoel returning as Martin and features supporting performances from Ørjan Gamst and Martin Starr.

Even if you weren’t a fan of the original, Dead Snow 2 has been getting positive reviews even from critics that didn’t particularly enjoy the first installment. Stay tuned for more information and a review as the release date draws closer.
